Windriders Newsletter!

A few of us had been talking about how great a Windriders Newsletter would be to help everyone keep up with eachother. It seems these days that all of us log in at different times, so it would be nice to have a way to still keep in touch, even if we don't get to play together as much.

Obviously we have the forums for this, but it seems the forums have been stagnating lately.

So I decided to start a thread to help promote both the forums and keeping in touch!

A special thank you needs to be said.

My wonderful, supportive, friendly and understanding kin, I thank you for all your generosity, support, sympathy/empathy, words of wisdom and humour. In times like these, your true spirit shines. I hope none of you are in a position where I need to repay the favour (for your sake!) but I would gladly give all I could to each and every one of you.

Your thoughts and kind words have touched me, and kept me going in tough times.

I truly hope I can meet some of you this year sometime, and thank you in person.

The Rift of Nurz-Gashu

Who wouldn't want to run the Rift?

The Rift is seen by many as one of the best, if not the best instance the LOTRO developers have ever created. It is a 12-man level 50 raid in Angmar.

I propose that we schedule a Rift run that as many people in the kin as possible can participate in. We would need to plan far enough in advance that people can schedule it into their real life time becuase it will take a long time to do.

We will also need the cooperation of some of our allied kins and friends, perhaps Dawning Eclipse.

News About Farwing

Hey guys, just letting everyone know I've talked to Farwing and her and her animals are fine.

I'm sure you've all heard about the flooding going on in Queensland right now.

Farwing has told me that she has evacuated to higher ground with her animals and is staying at a friend's house.

She also has flood insurance on her house and her material possessions.

Ventrilo Information

Howdy Everyone!

So, I have decided to switch ventrilo hosts and have moved to a better host (I hope). According to the SLA agreement, this host will provide 99.9% uptime which means we should only ever see about 45 minutes worth of down time.

 

Hopefully this host will serve us better than the last. Once again thanx for bearing without ventrilo for so long... without further ado here are the new details:
