Since we have been doing some music events in-game recently, I thought I would post this up:

Hullo Windfola! *happy hobbit wave*

I am known as Diamond of Elendilmir or, on just about any other server, as Diamiond. I recently began leveling my hobbit minstrel on Windfola in order to make contacts for future music events. I represent the Eriador Music Society, based on Elendilmir, but also active on Landroval. The same website linked is also home of the Green Hill Music Society of Landroval.

Greetings to Amlath, Ilikebigbuffs, Omennz, and Weselan who greeted me warmly and expressed their interest in participating in some special musical events!

Are you interested in the music system of LOTRO? Would you like to see a similar Music Society on Windfola? All it takes is someone with a passion for playing music in groups willing to do a bit of recruiting. If you are interested in getting a group started, try visiting the Songbook of Laurelin, home of Eriador Music Society and Green Hill Music Society for information, tips, and advice. Roll a minstrel on either Elendilmir or Landroval to participate in one of these societies to see how they are run and how much fun Raid Music can be!

I participate in, or serve as bandleader for, two weekly events: Mondays on Landroval for Ales and Tales at 11:30 Eastern; and Wednesdays on Elendilmir for the weekly Eriador Music Society concert at 11:00 Eastern (band begins testing new songs at 9:00 Eastern). Green Hill Music Society has it's concert on Tuesday nights on Landroval, beginning their testing at 8:30 Eastern. There are many talented music-makers who produce raid-size songs for these events and for special concerts. If you show up and want to learn, we will teach you and put you to work!

You can post here with your interest, or send me a PM. I'll be happy to answer any questions, too

I joined windriders knowing that it is a small close knit kinship of good people and fun loving friends. Secretly tho I always hoped that it would grow to become a huge random recruiting mega raiding kin for everyone on windfoa to join. Could my dreams be coming true? I certainly hope not  Smiley  Lets keep it how it is and only take in good people who we know will be harmonious within the kin. But hey, who am I to say? im not even a kinsman yet lol

Swiftly

long time recruit Smiley

Yeah I think with Chris and Kenji on the way and possibly some of Far's friends we should be good. Don't really want the kin to get too big or bring in folks we don't know well just to swell the ranks.

I am all up for new recruits, but hand picked. So no OOC: Windriders looking for members!  But more like how we have been working, with picking up people as we fellow and get to know them.

I have several RL friends who are joining Windfola when FTP goes live, they are all casual, helpful, lore loving players Smiley

I think Windriders of Rohan is a uniquely special kinship.  We are lucky to have a nice balance of good people.  Open recruitment, even with a trial period, might lead to unnecessary tension.  Cherry picking a few new recruits from friends we all come to know seems a better way to fill the ranks.  Limiting the number of members helps form a friendly and close-knit comradery.  Honestly, who wouldn't want to join the most excellent and admirable kin in Middle-Earth?

Pretty straightforward question.

A lot of Windriders have been inactive for various reasons lately.

So what does everyone think? Could we use some fresh blood?
